Answer to the above. Nothing on the island worth preserving but the cattle; recommends the removal of these to Long Island; population only 6 or 7 persons; 'twould be folly to send a garrison for their protection; an armed force therefore refused; approve of Van Schelluyne as Mr. Van. der Capelle's agent.
