Dear Sir:

In haste this shall serve only to request that as soon as possible you attach and impound, on our behalf, the goods belonging to the soldiers from your garrison who were here yesterday, the 19th; and that you arrest them, and in case of flight that you apprehend them as we would in a similar case to the extent of our jurisdiction. Two soldiers are under arrest here and a third mortally wounded. We shall rely upon you here as before and shall furnish you the circumstances as soon as possible.
