Noble, Honorable, Esteemed, Wise and very Prudent Lord:

My Lord, the bearer of this, Jan Picket, requested his bond again; therefore, I am sending him to you. He has been above several days with his yacht by the Swedes, along with Captain Jan Jacops. Whether this has been permitted by you. I do not know. I would also like to know how I should act if some English should come here from abroad or from Virginia, and refuse to go to Manhattan. I shall await your order on this. In the meantime, I commend you and your family to God's protection, remaining, after greetings,

Willem Beeckman
Nicasius de Sille
