The map appears in a pirated edition by Abraham and Jan de Wees from 1662 or 1663 of the Beschryvinge der Wydt-vermaarde Koopstadt Amstelredam, first published in 1662 by Marcus Willemsz. Doornick and written by Melchior Fokkens. The map is a faithful, but not identical, reproduction of the map included in the aforementioned book (compare with SAA, Kok collection: 10095/46). Orientation: south-southwest at the top.
