Translation

On the first of January anno 1658, summoned by the honorable lord director general and councilors, [ appeared ] Eduart Farringhten and William Nobel, two of the magistrates of Vlissingh, who, because they also signed the said remonstrance, were arrested immediately. It is resolved to summon the clerk of the said village, Eduart Hart, as well. Dated as above.
