Translation

[several lines lost] [ ] debt, says not to have [ had ] an opportunity [ ]

The director general and councilors, having heard the parties, declare the aforesaid attachment valid, and order the defendant to pay the aforesaid sum within the time of a month after today at the most. If he fails to do so, the plaintiff shall be allowed to recover the attached grain from the defendant up to the sum demanded, if there will be sufficient grain, and demand and receive his payment thereof. Done in Amsterdam in New Netherland, dated as above.
