To the honorable director and magistrates of New Amstel.

Jean Paul Jacquet, resident of this place, makes known, with all due reverence, how on 28 June 1661 the petitioner presented to your court an account on behalf of the curators of Elmerhuysen Kleyn's estate, in which was claimed restitution of his, the petitioner's alienated cattle which were completely restored to him by the judgment dated 23 November 1660. Secondly, the petitioner claims in his submitted account the expenses incurred by the court messenger and secretary for delivering summonses, drawing up papers, etc. Thirdly, the petitioner claims the alienation of his cattle for a period of 6 months, as may be seen in detail by the submitted account; whereupon you made a decision on 2 August 1661 and condemned the curators to settle the aforesaid account. The petitioner then sought by request that they pay the amount of the aforesaid account to their magistrates, which was allowed the petitioner. In the petitioner's same request it was desired that half of the aforesaid amount be applied to the mortgage on the petitioner's land and cattle. This request you have granted the petitioner in part. The petitioner has been patient for payment by the curators through the court messenger, according to the order obtained by him; however until now [ ] not done, although the petitioner had requested a summons. Therefore, it is necessary for the petitioner to turn once more to your Honors...

The director and magistrates of the of the colony of New Amstel order the curators of the estate of Elmerhuysen Kleyn to pay a sum of sixty guilders, sewant, to the court messenger for Jan Paul Jaquet by virtue of the judgment, dated 8 September, to pay the contents of the account submitted by the aforesaid Jaquet [ ] and some surviving animals [ ] not had the use of two cows for the period of 6 months, salary of a surrogate [ ] court messenger, everything according to exhibited [ ] and the debts and expenses shall remain [ ] which [ ] among the curators until further orders; and [ Jean ] Paul Jaquet shall put up a security and collateral his property and cattle in case afterwards it otherwise [ ].

The court messenger is ordered to summons the above [ ] and if they should be unwilling to pay the same, then to inform [ ] that they shall be fined six guilders [ ] week they remain in violation [ ] and the messenger is hereby empowered...
