Translation

Having brought before the session whether the sugars imported here from Barbados and other islands should also pay recognition fees for coming in here, it was unanimously declared, no, but to allow such with connivance[i] so as not to hinder the trade in the beginning; however, if the same is exported from this place, a recognition fee of 8 percent shall be paid. Dated as above.
