Translation

After deliberation, it was decided as follows: The petitioner, William Hallett, is allowed and granted to earn his living as a private inhabitant quietly and properly within this province, provided that upon sight hereof he pays the fine and the costs of justice to which he was condemned. Thus done in session at Fort Amsterdam in New Netherland the 21st of December 1656.
