Translation

Received and read a petition of Francoijs Broun, showing that around 1645 1,900 pounds of tobacco at 9 stivers a pound belonging to him and Jan Porte[ ], were sold in Poland for the benefit of the honorable Company as provisions for the ship Neptuenus, which tobacco had been loaded therein at CuraƧao, requesting that (as to date he has not been paid for it) it be balanced against what he owes the Company here.

After deliberation it is resolved: The request is referred to the lords directors. Dated as above.
