Received and read at the meeting, the accompanying petition of the prisoner Eduart Hart, clerk at Vlissingen, and having considered his oral promises of better behavior, and, in addition, the mediation of some inhabitants of the aforesaid village, the fact that he has always been obliging, and, as an old inhabitant, is acquainted with various issues, moreover, that the schout Tobias Feecx advised him to draft the remonstrance inserted under the date of January first, as well as the fact that he is burdened with a large family, the director general and councilors pardon and forgive him this mistake this time, provided that he will pay the legal costs. Dated as above.[i]
