Appeared before [ ] [1] of New Netherland, Huyge Broers from Doccum, cook’s mate on the ship De Princes, who in the presence of the undersigned witnesses appoints and empowers, as he does hereby, [ [2], in the name of the principal to demand, collect and receive from the honorable directors of the General Chartered West India Company the sum of seventy-one guilders, eight stivers, earned by the principal . . .
