I, the undersigned, Joseph Brusto, acknowledge that before the execution hereof I have been fully satisfied and paid by Tomas Bacxter the sum of twenty-nine pounds of beaver, which the aforesaid Bacxter owed my father, Francis Brusto, according to the note given therefor, which note is torn up and canceled. I therefore release him from all further claim. Done in Fort Amsterdam in New Netherland, the 2nd of October 1646.
