Translation

Upon the intercession of the burgomasters of this city and the requests of the preachers and for other reasons, it has been resolved, to suspend the foregoing resolution and to reprimand and warn the person against further damage. Thus done at Fort Amsterdam in New Netherland, the 3rd of August anno 1656. Present the lord director general and the lords councilors Nicasius de Sille and J. La Montagne.[i]
