Suit brought by Severyn Laurens against Augustine Heermans, to oblige the latter to receive wampum in payment of the rent of a farm he had leased to the plaintiff, which rent was to be paid in "merchantable pay;" grain only was held to be merchantable pay; judgment for defendant accordingly.
