Petrus Stuyvesant, on behalf of their honorable High Mightinesses, the lords States General of the United Netherlands, and the honorable lords directors of the chartered West India Company, chamber at Amsterdam, director general of N. Netherland, Curaao, Bonaire, Aruba and dependencies thereof, together with the honorable lords councilors, have summoned hereto the count messenger, Pieter Schaeffbanck, greetings.

Whereas s[ ] Wallewijn vander Veen,[1] in his capacity as attorney for Cornelis Schut, has remonstrated to us by petition how the deceased Mr. Isaac Allerton ceded to him, the petitioner, his, Allertons mortgage and rights to the farm of Pieter le Feber located on Long Island in the Walebocht [2] (secured for the sum of eleven hundred and twenty-nine guilders and 7 stivers in capital), as appears in the documents exhibited to us; and whereas the payments stated in the aforesaid documents have expired and no payment has been received, and whereas the farm is unoccupied and the oxen attached thereto (and also bound in the aforesaid mortgage) have been running in the woods without any supervision (so he says). For this our assistance is requested.

Therefore, we order you to inform the aforesaid Pieter le Feber that he has to pay the aforesaid sum to Waelewijn vander Veen within the period of 14 days after this date, on pain of having the requested attachment authorized, as is appropriate

This done and issued under our hand and seal in Fort Amsterdam in N. Netherland, the 23rd [ ] 1659.[3]
