Affidavit of Gurtryda, wife of John Pinhorn, lieutenant in Colonel Warbarton's regiment at Halifax, that her uncle, Herman Winclair, put Juan Miranda with Mr. [Peter] van Ranst to learn the trade of sailmaker; has heard Captain Axten, who brought Juan Miranda from CuraƧao, say that he was a freeman.
