Description

Report received from Commodore Knowles for Commodore Warren of a probable attack upon English settlements by troops and ships from Martinico. Nathaniel Marston before the council with letters from Captain Jeffery, commanding the Greyhound privateer of New York and from Captain Wentworth to Richard Durham on the same subject; affidavit of Thomas Vardill on the same subject taken. Letters to Commodore Warren opened and copies sent to Governor Shirley.
