Translation

Received the petition of Jan Colthoff showing that he has been serving the Company as a soldier for about four years, and that he is inclined to continue, if his salary would be increased a little.

The request, after having been taken into deliberation, and having considered that all necessities are so expensive here, it is resolved that from now on the petitioner shall be given 10 [ guilders ] per month. Dated as above.
