Document: Order for payment of Abbe Claesen's claim

The petition of Abbe Claasen and the attached account signed by Sr. Hendrick Huygen, former commies of the Swedish nation on the South River, were taken up, from which it appears that there was due him from the Swedish Company a balance of ƒ377, which the petitioner as well as the aforesaid [ Sr. Hendrick Huygen ask to have satisfied and paid out of the property of the Swedish Company left here. The poverty of the man having been taken ] in consideration, [ it was ] resolved, [ after putting the question, to direct ] the receiver that he satisfy his demand according to the state of the treasury, and give [ notice ] of it to the commissary that in due time it may be charged against the aforesaid Swedish goods. Dated as above.[i]
