Translation

A petition presented at the session by the fiscal, Cornelis van Thienhooven, received the following recommendation: Having read the complaint, the director-general and council authorize the fiscal to be allowed to receive the money of Lourens Cornelissen, who is ordered to pay the same to the fiscal who shall issue a receipt [ to indicate ] payment of the debt. Thus done, 16 June 1654, New Amsterdam in New Netherland.
