Cornelis van Ruyven in his capacity as auction master of the director general and councilors, plaintiff, against Nicolaes Verleth, defendant; the plaintiff demands according to the signature of the defendant ƒ390:– for two mares bought by the defendant on 14 September 1655, on the condition that the same be paid within one month in beavers or good provisions serviceable to the Company. The defendant acknowledges the debt but says that he has not yet had the opportunity to pay.

Director general and councilors grant the supplicant another 6 months’ reprieve to pay without fail. Dated 29 June.
