Translation

[ I, the underwritten, [acknowledge hereby to have ] received [ from Mr. ] Thomas Willeth [ fifteen hundred ] guilders in black and white sewant [ to be repaid ] in merchandise to [ the satisfaction of the said ] Willeth or in beavers, under [ condition that he accept the beavers ] at nine guilders the [ piece, ] the merchandise at market price. Ady ut supra. Ady ultimo August 1655.[1]
