Document: Resolution refusing permits to passengers to leave for Holland until the ship New Amsterdam is ready to sail

The director general and councilors of New Netherland, with the burgomasters of this city, today reissue their resolution dated the 11th of this month concerning the permits of some passengers who request to depart with the ships about to sail, being 60 to 70 in number; in conformity with the aforesaid resolution[1] no passengers are permitted to leave with the ships about to sail, but rather are to be held here until the departure of the ship N. Amsterdam, now taking on cargo and probably ready within three weeks. All passengers are hereby admonished not to bother the director general and councilors about passes.
