The director general and councilors have appointed and confirmed from the above [ list ] as supervisors of the orphans: Pieter Wolphertsen van Couwenhoven and Pieter Cornelisse van der Veen to fill the same office for the benefit of the widows and orphans, in association with and on the instructions of the burgomasters. Done at the session of the director general and councilors of New Netherland, ady ut supra.
