Resolution. Amsterdam chamber to grant Jacob Baselier 500 morgens of land on Long island, on condition that he convey 20 persons thither in the course of a year.;Resolution. Same to assist Machteltje Martens, wife of Andries Barentsen, a soldier, to join her husband in New Netherland.;Resolution. Same permitting Gerard Smith and Nicolas and Joost van Beeck to select, by themselves or agents, as much land in New Netherland as they can cultivate (supra, p. 60).

Monday, March 4th, 1652

Upon the petition of Jacob Baselier it has been resolved to grant him five hundred morgens of land on Long Island in New Netherland, provided that he be obligated to transport 20 persons there in the following year.
