Noble, Honorable, Esteemed, Wise and very Prudent Lords:

My Lords, I recently wrote to you by the galliot which departed from here on 17 May,[1] to which I refer and respectfully request that the desired necessities of flour, meat, bacon and peas, if not already sent, be shipped with the aforesaid galliot, if it has not yet departed; otherwise to be sent with the first vessel departing from there for these waters. There are rumors here that three ships have arrived there again. I am very anxious to know more about them, also whether the ship, de Wasbleeker, has arrived and whether any vessel has departed from Curacao. This letter, moreover, serves to accompany the enclosed letter which I request be sent with the ship departing from there for the fatherland.

[ Addressed: ]

Noble, Honorable, Esteemed, Wise and very Prudent Lord. The Lord General Stuyvesant. Residing In the [ ] New [ ]

By an Indian

J. Alrichs
